The Blood of Jesus and the New Covenant

The blood of Jesus
On this paper I shall attempt to take a look at something that can only be explained as miraculous. The blood of Jesus.
Throughout time God required a sacrifice of blood to atone for mankind’s sins. We see in the old testament where the blood of bulls, lambs and goats were required as a sacrifice to God. Those sacrifices were only to last for a year then after the year another sacrifice was required. But the blood of Jesus held and holds more power and authority then the sacrifices of past.
His blood was shed for all time.
It was the sacrifice to end all other blood sacrifices. And such a perfect sacrifice it was.
That blood covers our sins.
Matthew 26:28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. KJV
Matthew 26:28Take of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the testament, which is given for men for the forgiveness of sins. BBE
Rev 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, That precious blood also has the power to heal.
Isaiah 53:5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
1Pe 2:24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
The blood of Jesus was shed for all that is willing to accept it.
And yes it still is effective today.
It still holds the authority of God.
It is never ending.
