Resurrection Realities

Resurrection Realities

The Power of our words
Words having resurrection power was briefly touched on in this course. So I am going to take it a bit further and look at the power of our words.
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
The tongue holds power to either bring death or life. How can this be?
We shall attempt to take a look at this phenomenon. Have you ever noticed that when a parent says to their child “you’ll never amount to anything” or something of the sort. As a rule it comes true?
That is because there is power in our words.
Jas 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Jas 3:7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
But at the same time where we see the power of death we see the power of life.
1Pe 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Tit 2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
Let me leave you with this encouragement.
Speak blessings not coursings.
Speak life not death.
Speak of holy and Godly things.
