When we are bankrupt or destitute spiritually the only thing the only one that can fill us is Christ.
To be spiritually bankrupt one will be spiritually empty and can only be filled by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. When one gets to that point true repentance can take hold and through that repentance the door will be opened to gain the wealth of the kingdom of heaven.
For one to be spiritually bankrupt they must recognize that they have nothing whatsoever except Christ. And they must realize that He is everything and all things.
Have we come to that point? Have we recognized that without Him we are destitute? Have we realized that with Him we have everything He has promised us in His word?
